*** "The Thief Who Stole The Magician's Necklace, ~ Part 1"... (I wrote this story about betrayal & Karma... OH, ~ YESSSSSSS!!!)

· The thief had many times seen the great sorcerer of Egypt wearing the necklace. Not only was it exquisitely beautiful, but it was also rumored to have great power. The thief was determined to possess it. She broke into the great magician's apartment in the Pharaoh's palace and took the necklace. The magician suspected who stole it, and he was very angry. He had much reason to be angry. The thief was a former orphan child who the magician had taken pity on and had saved from starvation in the streets of Thebes, raising her with as much love and care as if she was his daughter. But, the girl had shown her true nature, --- charming, pretty, but underneath this, --- sly, cunning and greedy. Then, the magician discovered proof... Yes, she HAD TAKEN THE NECKLACE! A servant saw her! The magician felt hurt and betrayed, but he was a very wise and very patient man. He suspected the thief might even eventually sell the valuable necklace, removing some of the stones, a few at a time, to buy whatever she liked, perhaps even food and lodging, for she was also very lazy, she had always disliked any sort of work... The thought of the necklace being broken up made the magician even angrier, --- yes, the thought that the magic of the necklace might be destroyed, little by little...
