WHO is Cthulhu???...
In "The Call of Cthulhu", H. P. Lovecraft describes a statue of Cthulhu as: "A monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind."
Cthulhu is said to resemble a green octopus, dragon, and a human caricature, hundreds of meters tall, with webbed, human-looking arms and legs and a pair of rudimentary wings on its back. Its head is depicted as similar to the entirety of a gigantic octopus, with an unknown number of tentacles surrounding its supposed mouth. ~ From "Wikpedia".
So, ~ they got him with the mushrooms???!!!...
"The Beguiled" was shot at a beautiful old Louisiana plantation, built in the 1840s. Hmmm... I always wonder WHAT the owner's of these still existing plantation houses DID to save their homes from being burned by the Union forces. >>>
I positively LOVED this dark & delightful movie!!!!!!!... Cackle, cackle, CACKLE!!!!!!!!!!... Oh, yes, many, many mushrooms are undescribed because NO ONE knows IF they are POISONOUS OR NOT!!!... But, in this case, below, the devastatingly handsome and devious baddy Union soldier got his just deserts by his own belief... Oh, ~ EX-CELLENT!!!... >>>
During the American Civil War in 1863, Amy, a 12-year-old student at the Miss Martha Farnsworth Seminary for Young Ladies in rural Mississippi, discovers a seriously wounded Union soldier, John McBurney. She brings him to the school's gated enclosure where the school headmistress, Martha Farnsworth, first insists on turning him over to Confederate troops, but then decides to restore him to health first. He is initially kept locked in the school's music room and kept under watch. Edwina, the schoolteacher who has had no experience with men, takes an immediate liking to John, as does Carol, a 17-year-old student who makes advances with an experienced air.
John begins to bond with each of the women in the house, including the slave Hallie. As he charms each of them, the sexually repressed atmosphere of the school becomes filled with jealousy and deceit, and the women begin to turn on one another. ~ From "Wikpedia". >>
Marigolds are the flowers of the dead. >>>
Yes... I liked the original 1971 movie, with Clint Eastwood, Geraldine Page and Elizabeth Hartman better than the 2017 re-make with Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman.
>>> Clint Eastwood was fantastically handsome. He's still alive, at 94 years old.

Minerva Mc Gonagall...
I like her no nonsense attitude and honesty, her wry sense of humor, her toughness, her razor-sharp intelligence, her skill at and love of Magick, = her crone sass, with class... Yes, she's intimidating. It was she who came to the prophetess/divination teacher Sybil Trelawney's rescue when that extremely obnoxious shrew Umbrage tried to throw Sybil out of Hogwarts. And, I loved it when Mc Gonagall gave Harry, Hermione and Ron points after they defeated the mountain troll, --- "For sheer, dumb luck!!!"... 😃, and when she fought, wand to wand, with Snape when the Ministry Of Magic tried to take over Hogwarts.) Minerva McGonagall was born on 4 October 1935 in Scotland to Robert McGonagall and Isobel Ross. McGonagall was born a half-blood witch as her father was a Muggle and her mother a witch. McGonagall began her Hogwarts education at the age of eleven and was sorted into Gryffindor after being the longest ever Hatstall between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. McGonagall became friends with Hufflepuff student and future colleague Pomona Sprout and gained a particular talent in the art of Transfiguration under the tutelage of then Transfiguration professor Albus Dumbledore. During this time, McGonagall managed to become an Animagus, taking the form of a tabby cat and filed her paperwork to be officially registered. McGonagall was also a skilled member of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. After graduation, McGonagall became an employee for the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement where she met her husband, Elphinstone Urquart. McGonagall was offered a promotion but turned it down and applied to teach Transfiguration at Hogwarts under Dumbledore. During her employment at Hogwarts, McGonagall grew particularly close to Dumbledore and the two were near inseparable friends and colleagues, and he began to recognize her as one of his most trusted allies. Eventually, McGonagall became the Head of the Transfiguration Department as well as the Head of Gryffindor House. After Headmaster Armando Dippet's retirement and Dumbledore's appointment as Headmaster, McGonagall became his Deputy Headmistress. Despite being a crucial force during the First Wizarding War against Lord Voldemort, McGonagall was not a member of the initial forming of the Order of the Phoenix. During the war, McGonagall lost her brother, Robert Jr, and two of her favourite students, James and Lily Potter. Following the death of the Potters and the first downfall of Voldemort, McGonagall accompanied Dumbledore and Rubeus Hagrid in delivering the sole survivor of the encounter, Harry Potter, to his aunt and uncle Petunia and Vernon Dursley in Surrey. Despite McGonagall's reservations that the Dursleys were the "worst kind of Muggles", she understood that due to the framing and imprisonment of Harry's godfather Sirius Black, the Dursleys were the only family the infant had left. After the war, McGonagall and Elphinstone Urquart married, but three years later he died from a Venomous Tentacula bite, making Minerva a widow.
Blackberries are my favorite fruit... Here's how to make easy blackberry lip gloss...
This is very easy... Just get a small saucepan, some petroleum jelly, a dark lipstick and some blackberry jelly. >>>
Melt the petroleum jelly together with the lipstick. Add some the the blackberry jelly. Stir, and, while it's still warm and liquidy, pour into jars. That's all there is to it!!!
The Mighty Machinations Of The Wicked Witch Of The West...
Blue Roses Are Flowers Of The Faerie Worlds...
A blue rose is a flower of the genus Rosa (family Rosaceae) that presents blue-to-violet pigmentation instead of the more common red, white, or yellow, through use of artificial means such as dyes. Blue roses are often used to symbolize mystery or the unattainable, since they do not exist in nature because of genetic limitations. In 2002, researchers used genetic modification to create roses that contain the artificial blue pigment delphinidin. In 2004, this was then announced to the world.
So-called "blue roses" have been bred by conventional hybridization methods, but the results, such as "Blue Moon", are more accurately described as lilac in color. >>>
Dyed roses...
Since blue roses do not exist in nature, as roses lack the specific gene that has the ability to produce a "true blue" color, blue roses are traditionally created by dyeing white roses.[citation needed] In a book entitled Kitāb al-Filāḥah written by Andalusī agronomist Ibn al-'Awwām al-Ishbīlī[3] in Arabic in the 12th century, and translated into French by J. J. Clement as Le livre de l'agriculture,[4] there are references to azure blue roses that were known to the Orient. These blue roses were made by placing a blue dye into the bark of the roots. >>>
Genetically engineered roses...
Scientists have yet to produce a truly blue colored rose; however, after thirteen years of collaborative research by an Australian company, Florigene, and a Japanese company, Suntory, a rose containing the blue pigment delphinidin was created in 2002 by genetic engineering of a white rose. The company and press have described it as a blue rose, but it is lavender or pale mauve in color.
The genetic engineering involved three alterations – adding two genes, and interfering with another. First, the researchers inserted a gene for the blue plant pigment delphinidin cloned from the pansy into a purplish-red Old Garden rose "Cardinal de Richelieu", resulting in a dark burgundy rose. The researchers then used RNA interference (RNAi) technology to depress all other color production by endogenous genes by blocking a crucial protein in color production, called dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (DFR), and adding a variant of that protein that would not be blocked by the RNAi but that would allow the color of the delphinidin to show. If the strategy worked perfectly, in theory, it could produce a truly blue rose. However, the RNAi did not completely knock out the activity of DFR, so the resulting flower still made some of its natural color, and so was a red-tinged blue – a mauve or lavender.[5][8] Additionally, rose petals are more acidic than pansy petals, and the pansy delphinidin in the transgenic roses is degraded by the acidity in the rose petals. Further deepening the blue colour would therefore require further modifications, by traditional breeding or further genetic engineering, to make the rose less acidic.
As of 2008, the GM roses were being grown in test batches at the Martino Cassanova seed institution in South Hampshire, according to company spokesman Atsuhito Osaka.[9] Suntory was reported to have sold 10,000 Applause blue roses in Japan in 2010. Prices were from 2,000 to 3,000 Yen or US$22 to $35 a stem. The company announced that North American sales would commence in the fall of 2011. ~ From "Wikpedia". >>>
Sooooooooo... This being said, it doesn't seem to require a big stretch of imagination to believe that blue roses might be the roses of the lands of Faerie... Blue roses grow up the walls of faerie castles in both the lands of the Seelie Court (the Good Faeries) and the lands of the Unseelie Court (the Bad Faeries). They also grow around the doorways of humble farie cottages and they grow wild in faerie meadows, also.

I am a faerie, and a faerie queen, and we have special powers to gentle any creature. So, Johnny is a tame, to me, as a dog. I found Johnny in the Everglades swamp in the United States, in Georgia, in the human year of nineteen forty. Poachers had killed his mama for her skin. (There was a big trade then, in the human world, making the skins of alligators into things such as shoes, purses and luggage. UGH!!!) I wisked Johnny to my castle, naturally. He's a very good boy, a lot of company and a wonderful "watch-dog"... (THOSE jaws of his!!!... HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!) Although he is quite large at fourteen feet, he is still a silly guy, ~ like a puppy-reptile. :)

*** "The Thief Who Stole The Magician's Necklace, ~ Part 1"... (I wrote this story about betrayal & Karma... OH, ~ YESSSSSSS!!!)
· The thief had many times seen the great sorcerer of Egypt wearing the necklace. Not only was it exquisitely beautiful, but it was also rumored to have great power. The thief was determined to possess it. She broke into the great magician's apartment in the Pharaoh's palace and took the necklace. The magician suspected who stole it, and he was very angry. He had much reason to be angry. The thief was a former orphan child who the magician had taken pity on and had saved from starvation in the streets of Thebes, raising her with as much love and care as if she was his daughter. But, the girl had shown her true nature, --- charming, pretty, but underneath this, --- sly, cunning and greedy. Then, the magician discovered proof... Yes, she HAD TAKEN THE NECKLACE! A servant saw her! The magician felt hurt and betrayed, but he was a very wise and very patient man. He suspected the thief might even eventually sell the valuable necklace, removing some of the stones, a few at a time, to buy whatever she liked, perhaps even food and lodging, for she was also very lazy, she had always disliked any sort of work... The thought of the necklace being broken up made the magician even angrier, --- yes, the thought that the magic of the necklace might be destroyed, little by little... (The magickal necklace was irreplaceable. What do you think the magician finally did?... Or, did he do anything?... Later, --- I will finish this story.) --- Copyright 2024, by Antoinette Beard.

The ***PERFECT MIDNIGHT MARGARITA***... (You COULD use a blender, instead of a cocktail shaker, like they did in the movie!!!) ;)
This is the best margarita recipe I know! It has the perfect ratio of white tequila, high-quality triple sec, and freshly squeezed lime juice for the best-tasting margarita every time. >>>
Recipe by John Mitzewich >>>
Prep Time:
10 mins
Total Time:
10 mins >>>
Servings:
1
Yield:
1 margarita
>>>
Margarita Ingredients
>>>
Tequila: use a good quality 100% agave white tequila.
Triple Sec: Use a high-quality triple sec for the best results.
Lime: You'll need freshly squeezed lime juice, plus lime slices for garnishing. >>>
Salt: Use coarse sea salt for the rim of the glass. >>>
When you make a margarita you'll want to follow a 4:3:2 ratio — which is different from the classic 3:2:1 ratio for a margarita. You'll find the full recipe below, but here's a brief overview of what you can expect when you make the perfect margarita recipe: Combine tequila, triple sec, and lime juice in a shaker with ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker is frosted, then strain into a prepared glass.
>>>
Ingredients
1 wedge lime
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt, or less, as desired
Ice cubes, or shaved ice
2 fluid ounces white tequila
1 ½ fluid ounces triple sec
1 fluid ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
1 slice lime
>>>
Directions
Gather all ingredients.
>>>
Moisten the rim of a glass with a lime wedge. Sprinkle sea salt onto a plate. ("Sea salt, like a sailor's double!!!"... CACKLE!!! :D ) Lightly dip the moistened rim into the salt.
Place a large ice cube in the glass and freeze the prepared glass until ready to serve.
Fill a cocktail shaker with fresh ice. Add tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. Cover and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker has frosted. (Or, flip the switch of the blender!!!... LOL!!! :D)
Strain margarita into the chilled glass and garnish with a slice of lime.
>>>
Notes:
For the best results, be sure to use fresh limes, and a nice bottle of triple sec, like Cointreau.
You'll also want to use 100% agave white tequila, like the Don Abraham's Single Estate Blanco Tequia.
Some like to add a dash of agave nectar for a little extra sweetness.

How RARE IS A White Crow???...
All We Know About Albino Crows...
By Patrick O'Donnell
Published: December 13, 2023 | Updated: June 19, 2024 >>>
Crows are intelligent and intriguing birds. They can even learn to mimic human words! Almost all of the crows I see have black plumage. However, once or twice, I have seen an all-white crow!
Albino crows are very rare. How does albinism in crows happen? Can they survive in the wild? See answers to these and other questions about albino crows in this article!
The Power of Mutation
Are Albino Crows Treated Any Differently?
How Long Do Albino Crows Live?
Interesting Facts About Albino Crows >>>
The Power of Mutation...
Albinism is a rare but regular occurrence in crows and many other animals. As with all living beings, in crows, the only way true albinism happens is when the bird has a genetic mutation that prevents it from making melanin.
Melanin is the sole factor that gives crows their dark plumage, eyes, beak, legs, and feet. Take that away and the bird has white feathers, reddish or pink eyes, and pale pink skin, legs, and a pale pink beak.
This occurrence only happens if both parents carry the recessive gene for albinism, and both also happen to transfer that gene to their offspring.
When crows mate, each parent passes one copy of every gene to their offspring. If one of the adults is an albino crow, they would certainly pass the recessive albinism gene to their babies because they carry two copies of that gene.
However, for any baby to be albino, they would still need to mate with either another albino crow, or a crow that carries one copy of the albino gene. That non-albino crow with the gene would have a fifty/fifty chance of passing their recessive copy to their offspring. If the parent passes the dominant, non-albino gene to their offspring, the baby will have black plumage. >>>
Are There Any Black And White Crows?...
A few crow and raven species have natural black and white plumage. However, most crows are entirely black. Even so, we do sometimes see crows with white feathers. They can have white feathers in their tails, wings, or scattered on their bodies. These interesting-looking birds are not albinos, nor even partially albino.
If you take a closer look, the crow has a black bill, and its eyes do not appear red. This means this crow is leucistic. © Dominic Sherony
They birds are known as being “leucistic”. This is a term for birds that have some white or pale feathers, or even entirely pale plumage without being albinos. Leucism can happen for a variety of reasons. Different mutations can affect the color of some feathers, and it might also be caused by pollution or pesticides.
Malnutrition or other dietary problems can also result in leucistic birds. Such birds aren’t getting the nutrition they require and thus lack the energy, vitamins, or minerals needed to have normal-colored plumage.
Crows like this are probably unhealthy in general and if several are seen, this could be a sign of a polluted or unhealthy environment.
Although leucistic birds still tend to survive longer than albinos, they don’t usually live as long as normally plumaged individuals. However, unlike albinos, many leucistic birds can regain normally-colored feathers if they live in a clean environment and have a healthy diet. >>>
Are Albino Crows Treated Any Differently?...
Albino crows don’t have it easy. Sadly, other crows are quick to recognize that these other birds are different, and they do not treat them well. In the nest, their parents do feed and take care of them. However, after albino crows fledge, they run into problems.
Crows are very social and intelligent birds that constantly communicate with each other. They are very aware of how their fellow crows act and look, and they react to those differences. In the case of albino birds, crows don’t usually stick up for them. Instead they don’t trust those different birds and might even fear them. ~ From "Birdzilla".
